Catalog Description

By fulfilling the program requirements, students will have the necessary knowledge and skills for a career in installation and repair of electric vehicle charging stations in the Construction or Maintenance arena.  

Prepares students for the EVITP certification

Enrollment will be limited to the number of supplies and work stations allowed in a lab space.

To meet the training needs of persons interested in installation, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle charging stations. Students are introduced to beginning and advanced techniques in EV charging station repair, maintenance and installation as well as exam preparation. 

PLO's:

The student will gain competency in the theory of maintenance and repair of electric 

vehicle charging stations. 

· The student will acquire skills necessary in the application of installation of EV charging 

stations. 

· Upon successful completion of the program, students will be prepared to take the EVITP 

exam.

Program Requirements Narrative

The first 2 semesters of the program - the students will complete courses in basic electrical hand and power tools, safety, wiring practices, and fundamentals of D.C. electricity.

The final 3rd semester - students will complete courses specific to E.V. This includes electric vehicle charging station installation, operation and maintenance and the final course of EVITP certification exam preparation.
