This program is designed to provide students with job-ready knowledge and skills towards becoming a carpenter in the trades. Coursework includes job safety, construction skills, work ethics, and hands-on laboratory courses to provide trade-related skills.

The program completes an average of 35+ students each year for this program.  Most of our students work towards their degree beyond the certificate.

Program Goal

The Carpentry Certificate of Achievement is designed to prepare students for employment in Carpentry for the construction industry.  Students will receive instruction and practical experience in understanding construction drawings, wall layout, and proper construction of a residential home.  Students completing this program will be prepared for employment in the construction industry, by either working for a contractor, running their own small business, or further developing their skill to become a contractor.
