The Certificate of Achievement in Virtual Production is designed for students interested in careers in the following fields as they relate to Virtual Production: Volume Control Technicians, Camera Operators and Assistants, Cinematographers, Visual Effects Artists and Animators, Directors, Virtual Art Directors, Lighting Technicians, Grips, and Set Dressers. The Certificate of Achievement in Virtual Production provides students the foundational skills and knowledge to enter these fields, and to adapt as the technology continues to evolve.

  • After successful completion of the program, students will be able to name the main categories of immersive media and their functions.
  • After successful completion of the program, students will be able to explain virtual production terminology.
  • After successful completion of the program, students will be able to demonstrate working knowledge and a basic ability to work on a virtual production.
  • After successful completion of the program, students will be able to demonstrate an overall skill set that includes flexibility / adaptability, an ability to learn emerging technologies, trouble shooting / problem solving ability, teamwork / empathy, and time management.
