Catalog Description
The Automotive Technology program prepare students for careers in the automotive service industry areas such as an intern mechanic, service attendant, assistant technician, mechanic’s helper, pre-delivery technician, installer, quick service technician, general auto technician, engine and transmission repair technician, Brakes and steering specialist, engine performance, electrical and fuel service technician, electric and hybrid vehicle technician and in automotive relate positions in the industry. 1. Describe and demonstrate automotive shop practice safety and automotive systems’ operation fundamentals in order to apply practical service and diagnostic during automotive servicing and repair. 2. Evaluate and identify faults in automotive engine performance components and perform service to factory specifications.
