The digital art and design technology program prepares students for employment in the Arts, Media, and Entertainment industries focusing on animation, 3D modeling, VFX, and game development. Upon completing these certificate requirements, students gain proficiency in 2D animation for digital art and design. This certificate includes exploration of character animation with the intention of coming away with a professional level portfolio. Competencies will be assessed by portfolios and demonstration of projects.

Program GoalsThis certificate is one in a set of 5 stackable certificates that will prepare students for a career in Digital Art and Design Technology. The stackable certificates will feed into an AS in Digital Art & Design Technology. This particular certificate focuses on the 2D Animation track.  This certificate helps meet market demand for Animation positions in the region.

This is a new Certificate of Achievement that focuses it to 2D Animation, which is a current industry need and essential for students who are interested in pursuing cares in Digital Art and Design Technology fields like 2D & 3D Animation, VFX, 3D Modeling, and Game Art and Animation.
