Reason for program recommendation request

New Program

Place of program in college's curriculum/similar program

Before completing this section, review the college’s existing program inventory in the CCC Curriculum Inventory, then address the following questions:

  1. Do any active inventory records need to be made inactive or changed in connection with the approval of the proposed program?  No

  1. Does the program replace any existing program(s) on the college’s inventory?  Provide relevant details if this program is related to the termination or scaling down of another program(s). No

  1. What related programs are offered by the college?  Pasadena City College Offers a 2 year AS Dental Technology degree, however this certificate does not have any negative affect on Pasadena since they do not have any certificate offered for 27 units.

List similar programs at other colleges in the Los Angeles Region

There are no colleges within the LACCD District that offer any sort of Dental Technology Program, this certificate has no competition with colleges in the area and would only serve to increase student success in our district and college.
