Jumpstart your career in journalism and multimedia communications with our Certificate of Achievement in Journalism. Tailored to meet the evolving demands of today’s media landscape, this program equips you with essential skills in news writing, public relations, social media strategy, and digital storytelling. Whether you aim to join established media outlets or carve out your own space in independent journalism, this certificate prepares you to succeed in a fast-paced, multimedia-driven environment.
We expect 10-15 completers in the first year, with this number increasing annually.
Program Proposal Attributes
- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)
The goal is for students to earn a job in Journalism. We also structured the certificate so it could support transferring to a B.A. in Journalism.
