The Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) currently graduates approximately 100 students per academic year across four cohorts. The Home Health Aide (HHA) program is a newer program established in Spring 2024 and has only been offered three times to date, with an average of 15 graduates per cohort. Because the proposed Certificate of Achievement requires completion of both programs, initial completers will reflect the smaller HHA program enrollment. At present, this results in approximately 15 certificate completers annually. However, as the Certificate of Achievement becomes available, we anticipate a significant increase in interest in the HHA program since students will have the opportunity to earn a formal, transcripted credential in addition to their CNA and HHA training. To meet this anticipated demand, we plan to expand HHA offerings so that students may complete the program immediately following the CNA program, rather than being limited to a single summer session. This expansion will allow more CNA graduates to continue seamlessly into the HHA program and complete the requirements for the certificate. Projected Annual Completers (after full implementation): Long Term, with expanded offerings: 45 completers annually, as a growing number of the approximately 100 CNA graduates each year pursue the HHA program to earn the certificate. This projection is justified by: Program Growth Potential: Increased interest in the HHA program supported by the addition of a formal certificate and plans to expand HHA offerings beyond one summer session. Labor Market Demand: The regional shortage of CNAs and HHAs ensures strong community need for graduates.

The goal of the Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide Certificate of Achievement is to provide entry-level training in the healthcare field. The objective of the Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide Certificate of Achievement is to ensure that students are competent and compassionate caregivers prepared to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of their patients. The Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide Certificate of Ach will prepare students to work in a variety of healthcare settings, such as skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and within the client's home. Students will learn fundamental patient care skills that are essential for providing personal care and assistance. Students will also develop effective communication techniques for interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

- Demonstrate the skills and training to become a Home Health Aide. The student demonstrates skills, knowledge, and training to provide direct patient care in the home setting within the scope of practice of a Home Health Aide.
- Demonstrate the skills and training to take the certification examination to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. The student demonstrates skills, knowledge, and training to provide direct patient care in acute and long-term care settings within the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Assistant.
