This certificate is designed for students aspiring to become animators, gaming enthusiasts, and those eager to master the fundamental principles of crafting captivating cinematic, in-game animation, and motion capture sequences. The required courses offer crucial knowledge and skills necessary for securing entry-level positions within the dynamic game development industry.
The program consistently attracts and retains students, with enrollment remaining stable over the years despite typical fluctuations in Community College enrollments. There are no signs of decline in the monitored figures each semester.

The goal of this Certificate is to equip students for immediate employment as animators, Motion Capture technicians and technical artists for game development. Upon completing the coursework, students will possess the requisite skills and demo reel to transition into the field of game development. Armed with the acquired skills, a student can assume the role of a Junior Animator, Motion Capture Technician, or Junior Technical Artist within a professional game studio.

New Program
This program complements other certificates and degrees in Animation and Graphic Design. Completing this program demonstrates a deeper understanding and proficiency in game development, along with the skills required for game asset preparation.
Without exception, nearly every Community College in LA County will offer courses and certificates similar. This represents a cohesive alignment of curriculum among all participating colleges and faculty.

Arts, Media and Technology
This program introduces an emerging field of study and employment. While job numbers stay consistent, the evolving demands of prospective workers require adaptability.
