Identification of the principles and practices involved in domestic and international logistics distribution systems. Attention to logistics strategic planning, production, supply, labor shortage, geography, business communications, cultural, political, safety, and legal issues affecting distribution centers, supply- chains, and customer patnerhsips.

The logistics program will be the engineering department. Hence, its PLO's will be aligned.
1: Students will demonstrate technical skills used in the industry for engineering technology disciplines such as advanced manufacturing, civil and architectural engineering, and electronics.
2: Students will use the principles of engineering design to develop a solution, device, or process that resolves a problem or improves an existing solution.
3: Students will solve technical problems in engineering technology using a combination of mathematics, computer software, scientific principles, and relevant skills.

Logistics has proven to be a pandemic and recession-proof industry. Students who study logistics should expect job security and fast career advancement. The LA & Long Beach Ports are the country's top import and export hub. With most distribution centers concentrated in the inland desert regions. Even more, this year, e-commerce has become a 4.5 trillion dollar industry in 2021. Online sales are unstoppable! E-commerce is the new norm post-Covid and is in high demand for logistics professionals.
