This Program meets the minimum training requirements established by the California Standards and Training for Public Safety Officers for patrol procedures.  This Certificate is designed to help prepare students for satisfactory completion in the areas of patrol procedures inducing use of force, medical emergencies, and regular calls for service.

Program Goal

The Public Safety Certificate of Achievement in Patrol Procedures is designed to prepare the students to meet the needs of patrol officers in a law enforcement setting.  The curriculum provides students with a foundation in law enforcement including the knowledge of how to function in all types of field situations including medical and threats to life.  The skills developed in this class will enhance the student's knowledge in crime prevention, public safety, State and local laws, community needs, officer safety, response to emergencies, detecting criminal activity, and all other patrol procedures.
