The Associate of Science in Modern Policing program provides a comprehensive law enforcement model that emphasizes community cooperation, public trust, and impartial enforcement of the law. The program is based on community policing, understanding diversity, preventing crime, respect and accountability. The program is designed to equip students with foundational knowledge and skills for a career in law enforcement or related fields. The curriculum covers criminal justice theory, community policing, public service ethics, investigation techniques, and the impact of technology on policing.

Course Report
To earn the Associate of Science in Modern Policing, students must complete 60 credit hours, including core coursework in criminal justice theory, community policing, ethics, and stress management. Students also select electives to tailor their education which include an understanding of family and violence, homeless issues in our community and de-escalation techniques. These requirements prepare students for police academy entry or further studies in criminal justice, positioning them for a successful career in modern policing.
