Completion of the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Associate in Science Degree prepares students for entrance into the manufacturing workforce or transfer to a four-year college.
Completer projection for the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Associate in Science Degree is 12-15 completers per cohort cycle.

The Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program is designed to equip students with the technical skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to succeed in the modern manufacturing industry. The Program supports local industries by supplying a skilled workforce to address labor shortages, prepares students for high-wage, high-skill jobs, helps students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills that apply to higher-level STEM and engineering programs, enhances communication and teamwork skills, which are critical in professional manufacturing settings, and prepares students to be informed, responsible citizens who contribute to the local workforce and economy.
Program learning outcomes:
A. Demonstarte shop safety.
B. Demonstrate proficiency in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
C. Describe hydraulic system operation.
D. Demonstrate basic precision measurement.
E. Interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
F. Demonstarte proffiency in program, download, and operation a PLC.
G. Differentiate industrial materials.
H. Differentiate between acceptable and non-acceptable tolerance limits and overall work quality.
I. Apply proper fusion welding techniques on plate with the SMAW & GMAW processes in the flat & horizontal positions.
J. Demonstrate profficiency with use a teach pendant to teach robot position points.
K. Align electric motor shafts with a gearbox shaft, identify if a shaft is worn, and correctly install a woodruff key to ensure shaft connection.
