The Digital Art and Design Technology Program prepares students to enter the workforce. Earning the degree or certificate, prepares the student to pursue careers in Digital Art and Design Technology fields such as 2D & 3D animation, VFX, 3D modeling, and game art and animation. Students have the option of pursuing one of six paths that can result in an Associate in Science Degree or Certificate of Achievements. Students earning either the degree or certificates will be ready to enter the industry with a professional portfolio.

Program Goals: 

This degree is the culmination of the 5 stackable certificates that will prepare students for a career in Digital Art and Design Technology. The stackable certificates will feed into an AS in Digital Art & Design Technology. The degree supports students entering in careers in 2D & 3D animation, VFX, 3D modeling, and game art and animation, which there is market demand for.   

 

Program Objectives: 

Students completing this degree will develop skills for 2D & 3D animation, VFX, 3D modeling, and game art and animation to be successful in careers in these disciplines.

Digital Art & Design Technology is a new Career and Technical Education program at El Camino College. The program is focused on creating a path for students interested in careers in Animation, Game Art, VFX, and Concept Design. The development of this program is supported by the LMI data and responds to the regional initiatives for Arts, Media, and Entertainment.
