The California Real Estate Certificate under its previous name has been offered at City College of San Francisco for many decades. It continues to grow and offer approved courses by the California Department of Real Estate for Exam licensing and continuing education.  The program has been updated and gone through modification for the California Brokers Exam License. City College of San Francisco will also offer a Salespersons Certificate of Achievement and is discussed in separate supporting documentation.  There are no other departments in the college offering a similar curriculum.

Please list similar programs at other colleges in the service area which may be impacted, including the name of the college, the name of the program that may be impacted, the name of the person you contacted and the outcome of that contact.

Real Estate licenses and skills are in demand in all areas of real estate. Local colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area also have smaller course offerings. 65 California Community Colleges throughout the state offer programs in real estate. This includes offering skills and licensed courses for industries such as: Property management, Commercial and residential leasing, Commercial and mix use investment properties, Office administration and Real Estate sales. This demand is reflected in the wide array of Real Estate degrees and certificates offered in the Bay Area and other California community colleges.  Current labor market information reports indicate that the San Francisco Bay area has an undersupply of students in local college real estate programs. The LMI report indicates and supports an industry in need of educated and licensed real estate professionals.
