The Certificate of Achievement in Paralegal Studies is the program's flagship credential. Requiring 33 total units, it combines 21 units of required core coursework with 12 units of student-chosen electives, providing a rigorous foundation in core paralegal skills alongside meaningful flexibility to explore areas of personal or professional interest.
This certificate is designed for students who want comprehensive preparation for entry-level paralegal employment without the additional time required by the full Associate of Science degree. It is also ideal for legal professionals’ legal secretaries, court clerks, and law office administrators seeking to expand their formal qualifications.

The Paralegal Studies Program at Crafton Hills College prepares students for a rewarding career in the legal field. Designed in alignment with standards recognized by the American Bar Association (ABA), the program offers a rigorous curriculum that balances foundational legal knowledge with practical, hands-on skills. Graduates leave ready to support attorneys and work effectively in law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
All courses are 3 units, making scheduling flexible and straightforward for both full-time and part-time students. The program offers multiple entry and exits points from a focused 9-unit Micro-Certificate for those seeking foundational skills to the full Associate of Science degree for students pursuing comprehensive academic and professional preparation

In addition to the 33 units of paralegal coursework, students must complete general education requirements to satisfy the minimum 60-unit requirement for an associate degree.
