This Animation Production program empowers students to design immersive worlds and compelling characters through both traditional 2D artistry and cutting-edge 3D techniques. With a strong emphasis on storytelling, movement, and performance, students learn how to transform their creative ideas into dynamic, living experiences that captivate audiences.
Approximately 25 completers are projected for the first cohort.
Program Proposal Attributes
- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)

-Students will obtain a thorough background in the history and aesthetics of animation.
-Students will acquire experience in 2D and 3D animation production.
-Students will build an understand of all roles and positions on the animation team.
-Students will use various techniques to gain practical experience in creating an animated story.

Course Report
Students will engage with a comprehensive curriculum encompassing animation theory, history, aesthetics, and production methodologies, equipping them for successful transfer to a four-year institution or entry into the professional animation industry.

This animation production program at Los Angeles Valley College directly supports the college’s mission by providing students with practical, career-focused skills that serve as a clear pathway to success in the creative industries.
