The Business Information Worker II Certificate of Achievement is a stack able certificate that prepares students for entering and advancement in administrative support positions throughout a variety of fields and businesses while also allowing them to pursue a degree in Computer Information Systems. After succesful completion of the Business Information Worker II Certificate, students will achieve enough skills in collaboration software and procedures to increase their value and promotablity.

Program Goal
The Business Information Worker II Certificate of Achievement provides students with practical, career-oriented skills for professional office environments using current industry technologies. Students receive hands-on experience in the fundamentals of office procedures and business communications, along with effective marketing ideas. They do learn new computer applications like PowerPoint and a more advanced level of Excel. In addition, the student gets introduced to the concept of business relationships and customer communications. The students are also introduced to, and guided through, effective and efficient business research methodologies and analytical data tools that can be applied to a wide variety of business structures.
Upon successful completion of the Business Information Worker II Certificate, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the business customer relationship. The students will know how to effectively and efficiently create presentations to market products and services. They will also understand the appropriate procedures to research and confuct business at the same time that they communicate with customers. In the same way, the student will understand the financial structure of different types of business. They can use these skills to improve performance at their own work and improve their chances of being promoted. More importantly, the student will know how to use spreadsheets to create budgets, forecasts, schedules and more effective graphical presentations. The student will be prepared to analyse and interpret data.
