Enrollment Completer Projections
In reviewing Barstow Community College’s Industrial Maintenance & Technology program enrollment and completion rates for the past two years, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, and the year-to-date enrollment numbers for the 2017-2018 school year. We experienced a slight decrease in enrollment and completion rates from 15/16 to 16/17. During 17/18 to-date we seem to be experiencing similar enrollment numbers as the 16/17 year. We have had many industry partners request additional levels of the industrial maintenance & technology program and have also received feedback from students who have been hired after our existing two-year program needing additional training for advancement opportunities. By offering level 3 of the industrial maintenance electrical and instrumentation pathway this will provide an additional stack-able certificate to add to our existing program meeting the needs of industry and dislocated, underemployed, and incumbent workers. We project for this certificate program we will have 15 students enrolling with 10 completers each academic year. This projection was developed by previous and current enrollment/completion trends and program demand.
