This curriculum is designed for students who are preparing to work in a Human Resources department in private industry or in a governmental agency (e.g. city, county, state, school district, etc.).

The primary goal of the program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective recruitment, selection, and placement of employees, emphasizing compliance with affirmative action programs and considerations of training, experience, and aptitudes. This entails equipping students with proficiency in recruitment strategies that attract diverse candidates and adherence to affirmative action regulations, as well as the ability to evaluate and implement fair selection techniques. Additionally, the program aims to foster competence in modeling techniques for establishing and maintaining positive customer and employee relations within organizational contexts. Through communication strategies, conflict resolution techniques, and interpersonal skills development, students will contribute to a supportive and productive work environment, enhancing both employee satisfaction and organizational success

Program Requirement Narrative
The Human Resources program prepares students for effective recruitment, selection, and placement of employees while emphasizing compliance with affirmative action regulations. Core courses, including Human Resources I and Human Resources II, focus on recruitment strategies, fair selection techniques, and fostering diversity. Students may also study Human Relations in Business or Introduction to Business to develop essential communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. Graduates are equipped to enhance employee satisfaction, strengthen workplace relations, and support organizational success.
