Catalog Description

The Fashion Design Certificate Program is designed to provide a course of study that prepares students for entry-level employment as a professional and competent in the field of the fashion apparel industry as a worker in the design room or equivalent. Individuals with this certificate are able to design, build a apparel line, illustrate by hand and on the computer garments, alter patterns, and create patterns manually as well as on the computer. This course of study brings the student deeper into the fashion field. This certificate requires the completion of 40-42 units. A minimum grade of C is required in each course taken.
