Development Operations A.S. Degree
New Program
Computer Software Development (070700)
08/10/26
This degree prepares students for careers in the rapidly growing field of DevOps by providing a strong foundation in software development, IT operations, and cloud technologies. Students will learn how to integrate development and operations practices to improve the speed, reliability, and security of modern software systems. Through hands-on projects, students will gain experience building automated pipelines, deploying applications to cloud platforms, and managing scalable infrastructure. The program emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and the use of industry-standard tools. The degree provides students with the skills to bridge the gap between software development and IT operations. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, graduates will be prepared for entry-level roles in DevOps, cloud engineering, and site reliability engineering.
We expect student completer numbers to be at 40 students completing the degree annually.
