Certificate of Achievement

Successful completion of the curriculum in accounting prepares students for positions as accounting clerks, bookkeepers, payroll clerks or entry-level accountants. A certificate is designed to provide career technical skills; it is not equivalent to an associate degree.

Program Goal

During the program review, we decided to archive the certificate, but met with local accounting offices that did feel there would be value with some minor course modifications, so we are just reactivating the certificate with some changes to the courses required and optional.

Program Requirements Narrative

This certificate requires that students take Bus201, Bus203, and 252 and 2 other courses from a selection of Bus 265,250,220,130,146,210, and 253, depending on their focus speciality. Each of these courses is offered online in a full-semester format and in an 8-week format. The timeline for completion will look different for each student. At a minimum, this certificate will take two semesters to complete
