Program Goal

The Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Management Certificate of Achievement is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in sports, fitness, and recreation environments while supporting the development of essential academic and professional skills. The primary purpose of this certificate is Career Technical Education (CTE), with additional emphasis on basic skills development, civic engagement, and lifelong learning.

Program will:

Prepare students for workforce entry by developing applied competencies in leadership, facility operations, event coordination, marketing, and customer service aligned with employer expectations in sports, fitness, and recreation settings.

Build essential basic skills, including communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills, as applied to workplace responsibilities and program operations.
