Program Goal

The purpose of the Certificate of Achievement in Graphic Arts with an emphasis in Print Production is designed to prepare students for careers in graphic design. The Certificate of Achievement is structured to enable students to pursue a course of study and computer experience in career areas that rely on computer graphics applications. This certificate will concentrate on design skill sets that are needed for employment opportunities, transfer to four year institutions, or to allow employees within these industries to upgrade their skills. This certificate establishes fundamental skills for entry level employment in areas of graphic design such as promotional needs, print production, packaging, displays, and logos. There is a need to have a smaller unit certificate (Fast Track) that students can complete in one year. Overtime the student may add more classes to add to the width and breadth of their knowledge and obtain the AA degree or the Graphic Arts Certificate.
