The program provides students with the foundational knowledge and complementary suite of skills to provide business intelligence to stakeholders. Students start with foundational Excel data analysis, add database management with Access, and put it all together with advanced business intelligence with Power BI. This program equips graduates with the upskill capabilities demanded by employers in business intelligence and data analytics roles.

Program Goal

This program equips students with the foundational and upskilling abilities needed to import, analyze, and visualize large datasets. The curriculum covers essential topics such as data computation using statistical formulas, creating and managing relationships between tables, and transforming and visualizing data so that a variety of stakeholders can use the visual representations to make informed decisions. Graduates of this program will be prepared for entry level roles in business intelligence and data analytics and will be able to apply data analysis tools and strategies in fields such as finance, marketing, healthcare, technology, and operations. The Certificate of Achievement in Data Analytics Using Microsoft Tools was developed in consultation with employers who assist in advising the program’s trajectory.
