MiraCosta College will support, but, living wage jobs in accounting usually require a bachelor's degree. As such it is hoped that San Diego Miramar College will make that clear in their catalog, related promotional materials and counseling.

San Diego Miramar College submitted the appropriate LMI from the COE. The COE recommends proceeding with caution when developing a new program because 1) there is a supply gap; 2) entry-level wages are above the living wage; but 3) employers typically require a bachelor’s degree as the minimum educational requirement and a high number of institutions provide related training.
