List similar programs at other colleges in the Los Angeles and Orange County Region.
There is a similar program in neighboring Orange County (Fullerton College), but since this program is in Los Angeles County, the following criteria applies: In the publication, Resilient Jobs-Top Jobs During the Great Recession and COVID-19 Pandemic, published in October 2020, Producers & Directors, Film & Video Editors, and Broadcast Announcers & Radio Disc Jockeys are all in the top 20 of resilient jobs in LA County. Skills needed for these jobs, specifically in Live Television Sports Production, are achieved through this program. It is important to note that in a good economy, these jobs will prevail, as well as during a recession. In the current downturn in employment, these jobs amongst other Radio and Television jobs, prove to be resilient according to this publication.
