Food Processing and Related Technologies (011300)
08/01/26
The Certificate of Achievement in Food Chemistry equips students with essential and advanced skills needed for entry-level roles in the food industry. The Food Chemistry COA offers a comprehensive understanding of the chemical principles behind food composition, processing, and safety. Designed for those pursuing careers in food science, quality control, nutrition, and related fields, the program delves into the molecular structure and function of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, minerals, and water in food systems. Students will also examine the effects of processing methods, additives, and contaminants. The curriculum places strong emphasis on hands-on laboratory techniques, analytical procedures, and regulatory standards applicable to food chemistry.
