Catalog Description

This certificate will help students prepare for a future in mechanical drafting and design as an entry level mechanical drafter and will prepare students for continuation in the DigitalDesign Graphics Technology Program.  Uponsuccessful completion of the required classes for the Mechanical Drafting andDesign Certificate, students will be prepared for employment in entry levelmechanical drafting, design, and related fields.  Students will have the ability to communicatesuccessfully using industry standards and terminology.  Students will be able to create detailed 2Ddrawing plans based off of 3D models and create physical 3d Printed prototypesusing the latest release of the Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, and Fusion 360software.
