Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of the use of digital multimedia equipment and/or software programs for creating and editing multimedia works in digital photography.
2. Evaluate artwork with discernment, appropriate terminology, and aesthetic awareness, create projects intended for a professional portfolio.

The Digital Imaging strand under the Multimedia Arts department recently was updated to clean up Top codes and to update courses with new prefixes as well as to check Sam and CIP codes. In addition to this, we moved the Photography Certificate of proficiency to a full certificate of Achievement and thus the program is being submitted as a substantive change and for endorsement.

Laney has a Graphic Arts and a separate Photography - they do not include print.
