Paramedicine Academy
New Program
Paramedic (125100)
08/18/25
The Paramedicine Academy requires that all candidates have the required immunizations and boosters. The candidate must be a licensed EMT and have field experience in order to apply for the program. The Paramedicine Academy provides comprehensive training for individuals who want to pursue a career as paramedics, preparing them to handle the challenges of emergency medical services (EMS) in high-pressure environments. The structured curriculum includes a combination of theoretical knowledge, hands-on skills, clinical experience, and real-world application through internships, which are crucial for developing proficiency in emergency medical care. Upon successful completion of the Academy, students will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians – Paramedic (NREMTP) exam. After passing the NREMTP exam, graduates are eligible for licensure as a paramedic in California, meeting the state’s requirements to practice in emergency medical services.
Graduates of the program, approximately 24 - 30, may earn a Certificate of Achievement upon completion, and those who complete the full curriculum may be awarded an Associate in Science Degree in Paramedicine. This prepares them for immediate entry into the workforce, with the option to pursue further certifications or licensure in the field.
