The Associate of Science in Modern Policing program provides a comprehensive law enforcement model that emphasizes community cooperation, public trust, and impartial enforcement of the law. The program is based on community policing, understanding diversity, preventing crime, respect and accountability. The program is designed to equip students with foundational knowledge and skills for a career in law enforcement or related fields. The curriculum covers criminal justice theory, community policing, public service ethics, investigation techniques, and the impact of technology on policing. Students are encouraged to meet with a counselor to determine the additional general education courses required in science, ethnic studies, and arts.

California's Modern Policing Degree, developed under AB-89, integrates vocational training with academic studies to meet occupational and transfer goals. Edits per some excellent feedback (thank you!) 1. Created course blocks to identify Required Core Courses, Required Breadth Courses, and Criminal Justice Concentration course - 2. Removed excess social science course (Sociology) 3. Adjustment to units: 48-51 4. Added Catalog Statement to recommend students see a counselor for remainder of general education courses in science, ethnic studies, and arts. Thank you!

Possible, the course was cut off the list. We have Statc1000 Introduction to Statistics as recommended by the Modern Policing Task Force on our internal elumen platform.
