Catalog Description

The Radiology Technology degree program prepares individuals for careers in the medical field as a Radiologic Technologist. Once appropriate certification and licensure have been obtained, employment opportunities include positions in medical offices, outpatient clinics and hospitals, among others. The Radiology Technology program is a 24-month program (Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters over two consecutive years) that will be open for applicants every year. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Associate of Science Degree (A.S.) in Radiology Technology and will be eligible to take the California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch (DPH-RHB) state licensing exam and the national registration examinations through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Students are encouraged to complete all of the General Education courses required for the associate degree prior to admission to the Radiology Technology program.

Enrollment Completer Projections

The number of students who would earn this degree/certificate every year could potentially reach 24.  Some classes will be offered in alternating semesters, either fall or spring, which may impact annual completion numbers.  Completion rates may be impacted by the availability of clinical sites for practicum hours.
