Program Goal
The certificate of Achievement in Instrumental/Vocal Performer is designed to assist students who are pursuing or planning to pursue careers in the field of Performance. The certificate is designed and managed by commercial music professionals and provides students with skill sets not typically required in traditional music curricula. Students master music theory, ear-training, vocal and/or instrumental technique, sight-reading skills, and ensemble skills. Students enjoy the hand-on approach offered by Commercial and Traditional Music faculty, with labs being a primary source of direct learning and collateral experience.
