UX and Human-Centered Design: Students design user experiences for AI-enhanced products and immersive environments. ITEM 1. PROGRAM GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The UX and Human-Centered Design Certificate updates the Mobile and Web Design Level II Certificate to reflect the integration of AI and immersive technologies into UX practice. Since 2022, demand for UX professionals who can design for AI-enhanced products, virtual environments, and augmented reality interfaces has grown across creative and technology industries. This update prepares students to apply human-centered design principles across emerging technology platforms.
The certificate is open to all students and includes the following Program Learning Outcomes.
1. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to design responsive prototypes that leverage AI-powered personalization to create adaptive interfaces responding to user behavior patterns.
2. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to create immersive virtual and augmented reality experiences that apply spatial design principles and human-centered interaction patterns.
3. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to evaluate AI-enhanced interfaces against established UX standards using industry testing methodologies and user research data.
The certificate prepares students for employment as UX Designers, Interaction Designers, Immersive Experience Designers, AR/VR Experience Designers, Spatial Computing Designers, Usability Specialists, and Human-Computer Interaction Specialists.
