The Naval Logistics Certificate of Achievement program provides foundational and emerging knowledge in life cycle logistics, sustainment planning, and supply chain operations within defense and complex system environments. Students develop practical skills in digital engineering, data analytics, artificial intelligence, configuration management, provisioning, and DMSMS to support system readiness and lifecycle affordability. Emphasis is placed on applying industry and Department of Defense best practices, tools, and policies to real-world logistics and product support challenges. The program prepares students for entry-level logistics and product support roles, professional certification pathways, and continued education in logistics, engineering technology, or related fields.

Program Goal:

The Naval Logistics program prepares students for entry-level to mid-level roles in logistics, product support, and sustainment across defense, government, and commercial sectors. The program develops foundational and emerging technical competencies in life cycle logistics, digital engineering, configuration management, sustainment planning, and supply chain risk management, while supporting student transfer, career advancement, and lifelong learning.

Program Objectives

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

Apply foundational logistics and product support principles
Analyze and apply life cycle logistics concepts, integrated product support elements, and supportability planning practices to ensure system readiness, affordability, and sustainment across the system life cycle.

Demonstrate workforce-ready technical skills
Utilize industry-relevant tools, models, and digital systems—including digital engineering environments, data analytics, spares modeling, configuration management systems, and DMSMS tools—to support real-world logistics and sustainment operations.

Support digital and data-driven decision making
Apply digital engineering, artificial intelligence, and data visualization techniques to improve logistics performance, predictive maintenance, supply chain health, and cost-effective sustainment strategies.

Communicate effectively in professional and technical contexts
Develop and communicate logistics analyses, product support strategies, and sustainment documentation clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Prepare for transfer and continued education
Build an academic foundation aligned with lower-division coursework in logistics, engineering technology, supply chain management, and related disciplines to support transfer to four-year institutions and professional certification pathways.

Demonstrate ethical, civic, and professional responsibility
Evaluate ethical, security, and policy considerations in logistics, digital engineering, and AI-enabled systems, with an emphasis on responsible stewardship of public resources, supply chain integrity, and support of national and community infrastructure.
