Enrollment Completer Projections

Based on COE report, our program has doubled in Degrees and Certificates awarded from 14 to 30 in 2018.  Three year average is 20 .

With decrease in units from 48 to 40, and adjusting required courses to transfer easily to local four year institutions,we anticipate increased completions to 40.

Program Requirements Narrative

The existing Interior Architectural program consists of a CoA and an A.S. degree.  The CoA consists of 48 units and the A.S. degree consiste of additional 12 units of General Education, which brings the total units to 60.  It was taking students too long to complete the CoA and A.S. degree.  We have eliminated courses that do not transfer to four year institutions and reduced the CoA units to 41.

Substantial Change

Place of program in college's curriculum/similar program.
At the completion of first year, students will complete a minum of 18 units and receive CoA in Design 1. Students will branch off into their specialization of Interior or Architectural design in their second year. Interior Architectural Design students will receive a total unit of 40 units instead of 48 units. We hope to increase student completions by offering 4 additional Architectural courses and create 2 tier stackable certificates in Interior and Architectural Design.
