Catalog Description

The Radio/Television Producer Certificate of Completion is designed to teach the fundamentals of knowledge and skills needed for today’s media producer via Broadcast, Cable, Web, and other forms of digital media program content. Students prepare for producing media productions either independently or in a production environment. The Certificate of Completion will prepare students for career advancement in this field. Employment and internship opportunities include audio/video technicians, camera operators, producers/directors, writers, editors, and a plethora of other audio/video support staff for all forms of digital media content.

Program Requirements Narrative

There are no requested faculty or facilities for this program, as the program already exists and is just being modified. The program serves to meet the labor market and educational needs of students and professionals seeking employment in the Radio/Television and digital media industries. Our program is vetted by an annual Advisory Board comprising experts in the field of radio/television, film, and other digital media production fields which allow us to tap into the needs of the LA Basin community labor force, and align our program courses to sync with the industry needs.
