Graphic Design Fundamentals program is designed to prepare students for employment in a variety of design industries.
Career opportunities for students completing this program of study include, but are not limited to:

By fulfilling the program requirements, students will have the necessary knowledge and skills listed below:
- Design Principles - Understanding of core design elements (color, typography, layout, composition) and principles (balance, contrast, hierarchy).
- Typography - Proficiency in selecting, pairing, and applying fonts to enhance visual communication.
- Color Theory - Knowledge of color harmonies, psychology, and effective use of color in design.
- Digital Software Skills - Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Creative Problem-Solving - Ability to develop innovative solutions to design challenges.
- Visual Communication - Skills in creating cohesive and engaging visual narratives.
- Critique and Feedback - Competence in analyzing design work and providing constructive feedback.
- Portfolio Development - Experience in curating and presenting design projects to showcase skills and personal style.

This program introduces students to the foundational principles of graphic design. It covers core design concepts such as composition, typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, and digital illustration. Through hands-on projects, students will develop skills in visual communication, creative problem-solving, and the use of industry-standard design software. The course emphasizes both technical proficiency and creative exploration, preparing students for further study or careers in design-related fields such as but not limited to: Graphic Design, Book Design, and Digital Illustration.
