Catalog Description
The Computer Network Technician Program consists of foundation courses designed to teach the skills necessary to assist with designing, configuring, installing, maintaining, and repairing work station and network systems, network devices and servers; and providing information, support and/or recommendations regarding desktop installations and configurations. Network Technicians support internal users with their computer and/or telecom equipment, in person or remotely. Network Technicians troubleshoot software and hardware issues, perform repairs as needed, typically under the instructions of an IT Manager, or as requested by clients. They ensure that all transmission media, mostly cable links, are intact and offer quality uninterrupted communications.
