  • Certificate of Achievement: 8 to fewer than 16 semester (or 12 to fewer than 24 quarter) units (B)
Program Goal
Children’s book publishing accounts for over $4 Billion of annual US book sales. Self-published children’s books provide a forum for students to develop intellectual properties that they own, and can license to production, animation, film, and game studios. This program surveys classic Children’s books as well as modern approaches to identify those disciplines. It provides skills for creating pictures that accompany written text, and delivering product that is technically professional for both print and web publishing. This program provides structure for students to develop a book idea that can be sold, and a working process that allows them to develop more books efficiently.
