Palomar College submitted the appropriate LMI from the COE. The COE recommends proceeding with developing a program because 1) the occupations’ entry-level and median earnings are above the living wage; 2) an associate degree is needed for the occupation; and 3) a supply gap exists. The region should note that employers typically require a bachelor’s degree as the minimum requirement for computer programmers.
