The Agriculture Mechanics Certificate of Achievement  prepares students for entry-level employment in the field of Agriculture Technology as service technicians or mechanics.  The courses in this applied pathway designed with specific emphasis on agriculture mechanics skill development for small scale farming operations. Students will develop skills used in many agriculture industries, which span soft skills, management, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

Program Goal

Students completing the Agriculture Mechanics Certificate of Achievement (12 units) will obtain skills across:

  1. Management, operation, and maintenance of farm machinery
  2. Joining metals, electricity, plumbing, concrete, and construction skills related to farm maintenance and repair
  3. Selection and safe operation of shop tools including welders, hand tools and power tools

These skills will help students enter fields related to farm equipment and service technicians, small engines, and industrial machinery mechanics.
