Modern Policing (210560)
08/18/25
The Modern Policing degree addresses contemporary methods, strategies, and philosophies used by law enforcement agencies to maintain public safety, enforce laws, and build relationships with communities. It reflects a shift from traditional, reactive policing (focused mainly on responding to crimes after they occur) to more proactive, community-oriented, data-driven, Constitutional, and humanistic approaches. Modern Policing reflects the future of law enforcement in America. Satisfies California Assembly Bill 89, California Penal Code Section 13511.1, and Section 1031.4 of the Government Code.
