Catalog Description
This program is designed for students who are interested in business but are unsure of what pathway to follow. This is an entry point into the business world and the basic business foundations. It is designed to introduce students to basic business concepts such as accounting, management, entrepreneurship, and marketing. Students are required to take Mathematical Applications in Business and Customer Service, then choose 3 units from one of the following Work Experience, Introduction to Business, Introduction to Marketing, Entrepreneurial Marketing, Introduction to Management, Human Relations in Business, or Entrepreneurial Management. There are no prerequisites, or enrollment limitations. After completing this certificate, students will be able to:
  • Apply customer service skills and techniques, including problem solving, emotional intelligence and effective communication.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, and decision-making skills in the business environment.
