Cyber security Certificate

This certificate will prepare students for an entry-level position in the field of information security. They will gain an understanding of the technical needs, threats and weaknesses in cyber security.  

Program Learning Outcomes: Through this certificate program, student will learn the tools needed to manage computer systems as well as gain insight into the legal and social aspects of the cyber universe.

Occupational Goal of developing workforce readiness in this field.  This certificate will also encourage retention of mainstream and under served students, finish and complete their Community College education, transfer to a four-year academic institution and pursue jobs in the cyber security field.

This certificate’s purpose is to help students secure an internship, apprenticeship or entry level/junior position in the Cyber security industry. The certificate’s goals are to help students build the necessary skills that will make them viable for employment.
