Catalog Description

The Fire Protection Technology Basic Firefighter 1 Certificate of Achievement prepares students for employment in the fire service. This certificate provides students with the State Fire Marshal's Office educational requirements for certification as a Firefighter I.The curriculum includes courses in basic firefighting skills, rope rescue, hazardous material operations, wildland firefighting, vehicle extrication, and physical fitness techniques.
