This Certificate of Achievement prepares students for employment as a parenting or family coach/educator.

Program Outcomes

  1. Evaluate current research in and theoretical models of parenting/family styles
  2. Identify national and local organizations which support positive parenting and family strengthening
  3. Demonstrate competencies associated with the roles, responsibilities and philosophies of parenting coaches, parenting educators, and family advocates
  4. Discern types of chemically dependent families, and analyze intergenerational family dynamics as it pertains to parenting, child-parent bonding and relevant intervention strategies
