This field of concentration isdesigned to acquaint the student with the business world in general. Withadditional course work, it can prepare students for either employment orfurther education. Students with definite career/educational goals areencouraged to follow the appropriate curriculum guide for their specific fieldof concentration such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Real Estate, etc.Students may obtain the Certificate of Accomplishment in General Business bycompleting each of the following courses with a final grade of C or higher:

Use business terms and conceptsrelated to functional areas of business, including accounting, economics,finance, human resources, international business, management, marketing, andoperations. Examine the external forces (social, economic, technological,competitive, and regulatory) that impact business decisions. Develop andexhibit high standards of professional practice, demonstrating awareness ofethical and social responsibilities in today’s multi-cultural, team-oriented,rapidly-changing environment. Critically evaluate, analyze, and interpretInformation to solve problems and make business decisions. Analyze the impactof globalization on business and the diverse world of global business.
